Public Catering Facility Activity Suspended in Yerevan
Inspections conducted by the Food Safety Inspection Body's Center in Yerevan found that a public catering facility owned by individual entrepreneur Anahit Kalantaryan was operating with gross violations of sanitary and hygienic standards (located on Tichin Street, Yerevan).
Specifically, the walls and floor of the food structure did not have a smooth surface and were not in a renovated state. They were not made of waterproof, non-absorbent, washable materials; irregularities and openings were present near the kitchen door and ventilation system. Certain sections of the ceiling were not constructed in a manner to prevent or reduce the accumulation of dirt, condensation of steam, growth of unwanted mold, and the potential for falling particles. The table in direct contact with food was not maintained in good repair and condition, as paint on iron parts was chipped and there were signs of corrosion. The shelving in the kitchen was not properly cleaned and disinfected.
The activity of the public catering facility has been suspended, and a deadline has been set for rectifying the violations.
