Samvel Martirosyan Makes a Statement

Citizens in Armenia who own iPhones have received letters from Apple notifying them that their devices may have been targeted by an attack, potentially being infected with the Pegasus spyware or that there was an attempted infection. This was reported by media expert and IT security specialist Samvel Martirosyan on his Facebook page.

Apple has sent out new notifications, indicating that if you have received one, it means your device has been compromised or there was an unsuccessful attempt to infect it with Pegasus.

Martirosyan has advised those who received such letters from Apple to contact him for further guidance and has also shared an article outlining steps to take in such situations.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time citizens in Armenia have received similar notifications from Apple. Pegasus is typically used to target the phones of individuals who possess crucial information or hold significant positions.
