North Korea Will Destroy Enemies in Case of Conflict, Says Kim Jong Un
North Korea's armed forces will annihilate their adversaries if they "choose confrontation." This statement was made by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during a visit to the Kim Jong Il Military-Political Academy on April 10.
“If the enemies opt for military confrontation with us, we will certainly obliterate them without hesitation using all our means,” Kim Jong Un stated. He was accompanied by the vice-chairman of the party's Central Military Commission, Pak Jong Chon, Minister of Defense Kang Sun Nam, and Chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army Lee Yong Gil.
The leader of North Korea described the “international complex situation that is seriously deteriorating due to the rise of violence and armed conflicts, as well as the unstable and uncertain geopolitical circumstances surrounding North Korea.”
“Now, more than ever, it is necessary to prepare for war with greater diligence. The preparations must be all the more reliable and impeccable; this is not just war, but a war that must be won,” said Kim Jong Un.
Additionally, he emphasized that the unchanging key to victory in military conflicts lies in “breaking the superiority of ideas and military methods through digital and technical excellence.” During his visit to the academy, the North Korean leader expressed interest in the life of the cadets by touring the dining hall, classrooms, and dormitories. According to him, the academy and its graduates are a source of pride for the party and the state.
