Landslides on Tatev-Goris and Tatev-Ltsen Roads
Landslides occurred on the Tatev-Goris and Tatev-Ltsen roads. The roads are now open for traffic in both directions, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
On April 11, the Crisis Management Center of the Syunik Regional Rescue Department received reports about landslides near Tatev-Goris (around Halidzor village) and Tatev-Ltsen roads. Initially, both roads were completely blocked. Emergency teams from the regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that landslides affected the Tatev-Goris road (at the 10th km, approximately 100 cubic meters) and the Tatev-Ltsen road (at the 18th km, approximately 30 cubic meters), resulting in both roads being closed. As of 1:25 PM, the Tatev-Goris road was opened to traffic in both directions, and by 4:10 PM, Tatev-Ltsen was also cleared. Rescuers removed the rocks from the traffic areas using special equipment along with road service staff.
