Azerbaijan Rejects All Legal Documents: 'Hraparak'

'Hraparak' newspaper reports that during a closed session held in Parliament on the initiative of the opposition, focused on border delimitation and demarcation issues, opposition members presented various legal documents agreed upon between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the years. They urged that these documents be used for the border demarcation process.

At least two of the four areas mentioned by Prime Minister Pashinyan are not considered Azerbaijani according to these documents. One of the key agreements is from 1998, signed by Vladimir Movsisyan, the secretary of the Central Committee, on behalf of Armenia. This document outlines the agreement regarding the borders between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Soviet Socialist Republics, signed based on conclusions provided by various governmental bodies and endorsed by Moscow.

The document explicitly states the terms of the border demarcation, indicating that the sovkhozes of Baghanys and Voskepar are to return equivalent territories in exchange for the land allocated for the construction of houses in the village of Askipar. Mher Grigoryan assured that all documents are under review by the commissions, but the issue remains that there is no agreement.
