Lukashenko Announces Efforts to Keep Belarus Free from 'Hot War'
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that the authorities are doing everything possible to keep the country free from a 'hot war,' and so far, they have succeeded. This was reported by TASS.
“We are doing everything to keep the country away from a hot war. So far, we are managing it. I believe we will be able to solve this problem by preventing a clash, as has always been the case on Belarusian territory,” Lukashenko said, appointing information minister Vladimir Pertzov as deputy head of the presidential administration.
According to the state leader, the initiator of the information war currently being waged against the country is the Belarusian opposition abroad, which is 'running' to various decision-making centers and advisors from America to Brussels, seeking financial support.
Lukashenko noted that the opposition requires funding to organize 'armed confrontation' and undertake other actions in Belarus. He also highlighted the main goal of the opposition. According to Lukashenko, the aim of the opposition is to 'at least capture a piece of land, declare their authority, and invite foreign troops to Belarus.'
