The recent third collapse of the Ural River dam has led to a sharp increase in flooding in Orsk. The southern districts of Orsk are gradually being submerged.
The water level of the Ural River in the Orenburg region has nearly reached 12 meters. Residents of the New City in Orsk have reported that water has begun to approach Gagarin Square.
Throughout the night, there has been a severe situation in the town of Nickel. Evacuations are ongoing.
According to a directive from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the country’s Minister of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, has arrived in Orenburg to coordinate the efforts on-site.
