Traffic Halted on Geghanist-Yerevan Highway Bridge, Alternative Routes Recommended
Earlier today, we reported the partial collapse of a bridge near the village of Getapnya in the Ararat region. As a result of the collapse, traffic on the bridge has been halted. The Road Department informed Auroranews that the bridge is a part of a regional significance road.
The Ararat Regional Administration has issued a statement: “Dear citizens, we inform you that the bridge over the Hrazdan River at km0+400 of the T-2-15 ‘/T-2-13/ (Geghanist) – Getapnya – Ghukasavan – Darakert (T-2-3)’ regional highway is temporarily closed due to partial damage. We urge you to use alternative routes.”
It is worth noting that the process of obtaining the design and cost estimation documents for the bridge's major repairs is currently underway,” the statement reads.
