Erdogan Confirms Agreement on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Project

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has confirmed the agreement aimed at facilitating customs transit operations among Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia within the framework of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project. According to RIA Novosti, the relevant document signed by the Turkish head of state has been published in the official bulletin of the government.
The agreement between the governments of the three countries was signed in Baku on August 18, 2022. The treaty is intended to simplify customs procedures for goods transiting via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which traverses the territories of the three states.
