Artak Beglaryan Comments on the Summit Held in Brussels
On April 5, at the summit held in Brussels, nothing was said about the crimes committed and ongoing by Aliyev's regime against Artsakh and its people. This was stated by former Chief of Staff and former Ombudsman of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan.
“Any support towards Armenia is welcome, but key issues related to Artsakh were discussed at the summit held in Brussels on April 5. Only a small portion of the announced 4-year, $356 million EU/US aid is designated for 'solving refugee issues,' despite the enormous need. There was no mention of our collective return and rights established by the International Court of Justice. Nothing was said about the crimes committed and ongoing by Aliyev's regime against the people of Artsakh. There was no acknowledgment of the collective and individual failures of the international community in protecting the people of Artsakh and preventing genocide, nor of future responsibilities,” stated Artak Beglaryan.
