USA and Germany Oppose Inviting Ukraine to NATO: Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister
The USA and Germany are opposed to inviting Ukraine to NATO. This was stated by Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olga Stefanishyna, during a television marathon.
According to her, other allies of Kyiv support this decision. “The invitation format was suggested by Ukraine as a legal guarantee for NATO membership. It is on the agenda. Absolutely all allies support this decision, except for two. Since this information was published, the USA and Germany have been trying to draw attention to other skeptical allies, such as Hungary and Slovakia. But the key is the position of these two countries,” Ms. Stefanishyna said.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the issue of inviting Ukraine to NATO is on the agenda and will remain on the agenda as long as necessary until this decision is made.
