Video: Photos of People with Ukrainian Flags Found on Phone of Terror Suspect in Crocus

Photos of individuals veiled in Ukrainian flags have been discovered on the phone of one of the suspects accused of carrying out a terrorist act at Crocus City Hall, the Investigative Committee reported via its Telegram channel.

"The terrorist's phone contained images of individuals in veiled uniforms, set against the backdrop of buildings destroyed with Ukrainian flags, as well as postal stamps from Ukraine showing an obscene gesture. This information may indicate a connection between the committed terrorist act and a special military operation," the statement read.

The investigation has established that the attackers chose the Crocus City Hall concert venue for the terrorist act under the orders of a curator who directed their actions. "On the morning of February 24, 2024, marking the anniversary of the start of the special military operation, one of the accomplices found and sent screenshots of images showing the Crocus City Hall building and the entry roads to it via online resources," the release mentioned.

Investigators emphasized that the accused has confirmed all of this in his testimony. The Investigative Committee is also checking the involvement of representatives from Ukraine's special services and Islamist terrorist organizations in the organization's and financing of the terrorism.

Shooting occurred at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk on the evening of March 22. Several men stormed the building, firing at people at close range and throwing incendiary bombs.
