VIDEO: Case of Selling Non-Excise Cigarettes and Fake Vodka Revealed

On April 1, police in Vagharshapat received information that a 49-year-old owner was storing and selling non-excise cigarettes at a fish product sales point in Echmiadzin.

To verify the information, police visited the sales location. After explanatory work, the owner admitted that he was not only storing non-excise cigarettes but also fake vodka in the warehouse.

A criminal case was initiated in the Vagharshapat investigation department, during which a search was conducted that revealed both the vodka and 2,420 packs of various cigarettes. The man stated that he purchased the cigarettes from an unknown person and confirmed that he intended to sell both the vodka and cigarettes.

The circumstances are being clarified in the pre-trial investigation.
