This Is How the Film About Nuclear Apocalypse Begins: Musk

American billionaire Elon Musk compared the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO to the beginning of a film about an apocalypse in a post on Twitter (X). This comment came in response to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's remarks that the goal of the NATO summit in July is to support the alliance in 'building a bridge' for Ukraine's membership.

'This is how the film about nuclear apocalypse begins,' Musk wrote in the comments on a video of Blinken's speech. He attached a clip from the American film 'The Day After,' which deals with the nuclear war between the USSR and the U.S.

NATO countries have established a joint mission in Ukraine, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced on April 4. According to him, this does not mean that the alliance's countries will engage in combat operations, but it will ease the logistics of assistance to Kyiv. In particular, more Ukrainian soldiers will be able to undergo training in Poland.

Meanwhile, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stated that if NATO servicemen were to find themselves in Ukraine, they should not be taken prisoner. He also suggested providing maximum rewards for Russian soldiers who eliminate NATO personnel and not surrender the bodies of enemy combatants so that 'their families can suffer in a foreign land.'
