VIDEO. Strong Earthquake Near Japan's Coasts
A strong earthquake has been recorded near Japan's coasts. The magnitude of the underground tremors reached 6 on the Richter scale, and there is no tsunami threat.
It has been reported that a seismic event occurred in the Pacific Ocean, off the northeastern shores of Hoshina Island. The epicenter of the tremors was located 40 km deep on the ocean floor.
Currently, there are no reports of casualties or damages. The earthquake has been registered in the Aomori, Akita, Iwate, Miyagi, Chiba, and Tokyo prefectures.
