Serzh Sargsyan on Brussels Meeting
In the context of the West-Russia confrontation, the Brussels meeting is expected to escalate this confrontation in our region. This was stated by the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.
"In my opinion, Armenia's expectation from this meeting should be to ask the EU and the USA to effectively assist in preserving the sovereign territory of Armenia, to free our captives and prisoners, and to restore the rights of the Artsakh Armenians," said Sargsyan.
He further noted that the EU and the USA should, in turn, demand from the Armenian authorities the establishment of genuine democracy in Armenia, the absence of political prisoners, and a real fight against corruption, rather than using selective and unlawful means of retribution.
It is worth noting that tomorrow, on April 5, a meeting is scheduled in Brussels between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
