Baku Calls on France
Baku has urged European countries, particularly France, to follow Italy's approach in evaluating the processes in the South Caucasus and in the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace negotiations.
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Aikhan Hajizadeh emphasized that the statement by Italy's Deputy Foreign Minister demonstrates how crucial it is not to interfere in the internal affairs of countries and to prevent irresponsible approaches towards such a sensitive issue as the peace process and resolution between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“This also proves how baseless and ineffective the destructive policies pursued by countries like France are. We believe that Italy's political stance should serve as an example for certain European countries, especially France,” he highlighted.
It is important to note that earlier, Italy's Deputy Foreign Minister criticized the statements made by France's Foreign Minister regarding Azerbaijan's questioning of Armenia's territorial integrity, arguing that Sejourne's statement does not contribute to calming tensions in the region.
