1500 French Troops May Be Deployed to Ukraine, According to Maria Zakharova

Around 1500 French soldiers may be prepared for deployment to Ukraine in April, according to Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. She indicated that new information has emerged regarding the preparation of a military contingent by France.

"For this purpose, the command of the French Foreign Legion confirmed at the beginning of March the composition of a tactical group of approximately 1,500 personnel," the diplomat stated during a briefing. She emphasized that the group will be fully combat-ready for deployment to Ukraine in April.

It is worth noting that French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that Western leaders have discussed the possibility of sending their troops to Ukraine and have not ruled it out.
