VIDEO: Casualties Reported from Israeli Airstrike on Iranian Embassy in Damascus

Israel has launched an airstrike on a building in the Al-Mezze district of the Syrian capital, Damascus. The diplomatic mission's building has sustained damage.

At least six people have been reported killed as a result of the Israeli air force's missile strike in the Mezze area, where the Iranian embassy and consulate are located. This information was disclosed by Al Hadath TV.

According to the TV network, there are private houses near the Iranian diplomatic complex, which are home to military advisers from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran's elite military units. Al Hadath speculates that the target of the attack may have been an Iranian officer based in Syria.

Several explosions were heard in the area, with a thick column of smoke rising into the sky from the western outskirts of Damascus. Fire crews have arrived at the scene.
