Video: 8 People Killed in Train and Bus Collision in Yaroslavl
A collision between a passenger bus and a high-speed train has occurred in the village of Berendeev in the Yaroslavl region. This was reported to TASS by operational services.
The accident happened during the day at a controlled railway crossing in Berendeev. It has been noted that the cause of the crash was the bus leaving the roadway as it approached the Arkhangelsk - Moscow passenger train.
"According to preliminary data, all eight people on the bus have died. Rescue teams and psychologists from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry are working on the scene. A crew of 24 personnel and 7 units of equipment are on site," clarified the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the press service of the Northern Railway, the train driver has also been injured.
Currently, police officers, doctors, and emergency services specialists are working at the scene.
