Threshold for Duty-Free Online Trade Changed: Possible to Import Goods Worth Not 200, But 84 Thousand

The threshold for online duty-free trade will be set at 200 euros and 31 kg starting April 1. This information was provided by the press service of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia.

“The State Revenue Committee informs that from April 1, 2024, the threshold set for individuals for personal use goods in online duty-free trade (including personal use goods delivered by a carrier) will be changed. Instead of the previous 200 thousand AMD and 31 kg exemption, a new threshold of 200 euros (84 thousand AMD) and 31 kg has been established, as per the decision No. 107 of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated December 20, 2017,” the announcement stated.

The SRC also noted that this exemption threshold will apply exclusively to personal use goods imported into Armenia after April 1, 2024. Auroranews confirmed with the SRC that if goods have been ordered months ago and are to arrive in Armenia after April 1, will the new law apply in this case? When the goods are imported into the territory of Armenia, that is when they are declared by you or your carrier, the regulations in effect on that day will apply. Therefore, the 200 euro threshold will be in effect at that moment.
