Russia Must Build Its Engagements with Close Partners, Says Putin

Russia must build its communications with close partners, taking into account the mutual interests of countries. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with permanent members of the country's Security Council on March 29.

“In building relationships with our partners in the international arena, we always discuss the fact that the most important for us are our closest partners, our friends, our neighbors. We always proceed from the premise that these engagements should be built on the basis of mutual interests, taking each other's interests into account,” said Putin.

The president noted that Russia traditionally builds its communications with allies in this direction, which in turn improves the country's trade, economic, and political ties with its neighbors. During this meeting of the Russian Security Council, Putin suggested discussing the common interests of Russia and its partners.
