Lars is Open: What is the Situation on Armenia's Roads?

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kar are closed in the Aragatsotn region, as well as the Berd-Jambarak road (blizzard conditions).

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles.

According to information obtained from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
