China's Ministry of Defense Expresses Concerns
Representatives of China's military command have expressed concerns during negotiations with a NATO delegation regarding the advancement of NATO activities in the Asia-Pacific region. This was stated by Wu Qian, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China, as reported by TASS.
"China expressed its concerns and clarified its position regarding NATO's expansion eastward and the issue of Taiwan," Wu Qian said during a meeting with the NATO delegation.
It has been reported that the parties agreed to maintain communication and dialogue. During the meeting, representatives from China and NATO exchanged views on international and regional situations, defense exchanges between China and NATO, as well as other matters of mutual interest, Wu Qian noted.
