Armenia to Send $300,000 Aid to Japan

The government has made a decision to allocate funds to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. According to the reasoning, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially informed all diplomatic representations accredited in Japan that the Ishikawa Prefecture and the Japanese Red Cross Society will accept donations until December 27, 2024, to meet the humanitarian needs of those affected by the earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024, in the Noto Peninsula.

In 2011, Armenia donated $500,000 to aid victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Fukushima. Considering the scale of the devastation and the overall damage caused by the earthquake in the Noto Peninsula, it is proposed that Armenia also make a donation this time, transferring an amount of $300,000 to the Japanese side.
