Simonyan Comments on Meeting with Svetlana Tikhanovskaya

The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, commented on his meeting with Belarusian opposition figure Svetlana Tikhanovskaya during the Euronaut Congress at the European Parliament.

He noted that he expressed gratitude to Tikhanovskaya for her positive remarks about Armenia during her speech. “We participated in an event. Afterward, I thanked her in the corridor for the positive feedback about Armenia. During that event, the reactions and notes from the EU and partners present regarding Armenia were very evident. There was a moment when a partner from Azerbaijan said something; I didn’t even need to respond. They answered each other without waiting their turn,” he stated.

He also emphasized that no political topics were discussed, saying, “We didn’t talk about anything. They wrote some things, but I don’t even know about that guy’s existence. Not to mention that he is not qualified to discuss anything. He was an invited guest there.”
