Judge Resigns from System for 'Liking' Abusive Comments in Internal Group

The chaos within the judicial system continues. The fourth judge has filed for resignation due to pressures and is leaving the judicial system. According to reports from the 'Hayots Ashkharh' newspaper, judge Andranik Mnatsakanyan was one of the participants in the scandalous correspondence of judges in the internal 'chat'; however, he did not speak or express any opinions and merely 'liked' a comment. And now, he has been compelled to leave the system for that 'like'. Moreover, there are reports that he faced pressure regarding the criminal case opened against his father, the former mayor of Talin, Mnatsakan Mnatsakanyan.

It should be noted that the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia stated in 2021: 'The former head of the community, from August 2012 to August 2021, without the consent of the authorized body, first created decisions that are official documents containing false information about land parcels included in the list of restrictions defined by the RA Land Code, and subsequently organized and executed their alienation.'

'Hayots Ashkharh' newspaper reported back on March 7 that the next judge to voluntarily submit a resignation and leave the judicial system would be Andranik Mnatsakanyan, a judge from Aragatsotn Province. The issue arose from judges writing abusive comments in their internal group, the 'chat', during the war, which the judge Mnatsakanyan, who has recently gained notoriety as a 'Judas' within the judicial system, allegedly took and presented to political authorities. Consequently, screenshots of these comments have been presented to the judges, compelling them to submit resignation requests voluntarily. Following the same reasoning, judges Arshak Vardanyan, Karen Mardanyan of the Court of Appeal, and Sergey Marabyan from the Anti-Corruption Chamber of the Supreme Court have also left the judicial system; the fourth judge is, indeed, Andranik Mnatsakanyan,' the newspaper reports.
