Current Situation on Armenia's Roads

The Emergency Services report that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads within the territory of Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd fortress and Kari Lake are closed. The Vardenyats Pass (blizzard conditions), the M-2 road leading to the town of Jermuk, the Berd-Jambarak road (blizzard conditions), and the Verin Getashen-Madina roads are all closed to all types of vehicles.

The Dilijan serpentine roads, the routes from the Jermuk intersection to Saravan “Zanger”, and the Gndevaz-Jermuk roads are closed to trucks with trailers and are difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles.

The Gyumri-Ashotsk road is challenging for all types of vehicles.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Management Department and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
