Zelensky Has Dismissed the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has dismissed Oleksiy Danilov from the position of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and has immediately appointed Oleksandr Litvinenko in his place, according to local media reports.

“Dismiss Oleksiy Myacheslavovych Danilov from the position of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” states decree number 186/2024.

It should be noted that the President of Ukraine has already found a successor for Danilov. The new Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council is Oleksandr Litvinenko.

“Oleksandr Valeriyovych Litvinenko has been appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” states decree number 188/2024.

Before being appointed as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksandr Litvinenko was the head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service. Zelensky has dismissed him from this position prior to the appointment.
