Video: Today We Must Decide What Color Tomorrow's History Will Be – Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, addressed the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations during a meeting with the active members of the My Step Alliance in Gyumri.
“We are currently in a phase where an attempt is being made to take revenge for the previous 30 years. Those past 30 years involved our justifications against what they did in the past, and vice versa. The most important conclusion is that this cycle must be stopped so we can give our next generations the opportunity to live in peace, tranquility, and happiness,” he stated.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of avoiding nihilism and maintaining our identity. “Nations and states become stronger by acknowledging their shortcomings, which cannot be erased even if we wanted to. We should focus on reinforcing our strengths to ensure that our weaknesses do not become overwhelmingly visible,” he noted.
According to Pashinyan, we must construct the history of tomorrow, and today we need to decide what color that history will be. “We must ensure that tomorrow's history is not painted in black, because we are all tired of that color.”
During his speech at the meeting of the Initiative Group of the My Step Alliance, Pashinyan also discussed topics such as the Constitution, peace, legitimacy, and other issues.
