Video: 'Put Your Phones in a Closed Box' - Papikyan, Ghazaryan and Abazyan Hold Closed Session in Parliament

The Defense and Security Committee of the National Assembly of Armenia convened a session to discuss the report on the implementation and results of the government's program for the year 2023 (2021-2026). Present at the meeting were Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, NSS Director Armen Abazyan, and Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan.

During the discussion on the budget performance, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan reported that for 2023, the Ministry of Defense received 517.28 billion AMD from the state budget for five programs, which increased by 9.19 billion AMD over the course of the year, totaling 526.47 billion AMD. He noted that the performance constituted 99.8 percent.

According to him, the list of activities implemented to ensure the execution of the government program for 2021-2026 includes 14 goals, which comprise 37 specific measures. Most of these have been carried out within the planned volumes and deadlines,” he said.

The meeting was decided to continue in closed mode, as there may be highly classified issues involved.
