Video: Terrorist Attack Prevented in Russia
A terrorist attack has been thwarted in the Samara region of Russia, reportedly planned by an individual connected to the banned "Russian Volunteer Corps." This information was shared by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).
According to the FSB, "The FSB prevented a terrorist act in the Samara region that was planned by a 1994-born Russian citizen, an accomplice of the terrorist organization 'Russian Volunteer Corps,' which operates under the auspices of Ukrainian special services." The agency noted that between 2022 and 2024, the suspect publicly discredited the Russian army.
In September 2023, he was recruited by Ukrainian special services with the mediation of Alexander Kudashov, born in 1982, who is one of the activists of the 'Russian Volunteer Corps.' At the same time, the man agreed to organize and carry out sabotage activities in Russia.
As reported by the FSB, under the curator's instructions, the assailant attempted to detonate an improvised explosive device he had in his possession at a building designated for humanitarian aid reception.
"During the suspect's arrest, a self-detonation occurred, resulting in injuries incompatible with life. Security personnel and civilians were not harmed," stated the special service.
A laboratory for the preparation of explosives, as well as components intended for their production and another explosive device ready for use, were discovered at his residence.
