No Evidence Linking Ukraine to Attack on Crocus City Hall, EU States

The European Union has refuted claims linking Ukraine to the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall complex near Moscow, as stated by EU foreign policy spokesman Peter Stano during a press briefing in Brussels, according to vedomosti.ru.

"We reject this; there is nothing that indicates or proves that Ukraine was involved in this attack," he emphasized.

He also called on the Russian authorities not to use the bombing in Moscow as a "pretext" to increase pressure on Ukraine.

It is recalled that on the evening of March 22, a group of armed men opened fire with automatic weapons at Moscow's Crocus City Hall, after which an explosion occurred, triggering a fire. At least 137 casualties have been reported.

The FSB of the Russian Federation announced that the terrorists who opened fire on people were apprehended in the Bryansk region, near the Ukrainian border, and that they were heading to Ukraine because they had "connections there." Russian President Vladimir Putin asserted that a "window" had been prepared for the suspects to cross the border with Ukraine.
