Young Man Discharged from Mental Health Center Stabs Neighbor and Her Daughter
On March 24, stabbings occurred in Yerevan. Around 10:30 AM, operational information was received at the Mashtots Police Division of the Republic of Armenia's Ministry of Internal Affairs, indicating that two citizens were stabbed in one of the homes on Khoren Khachatryan Lane.
This was reported by Shamshyan.com. Police officers and patrols at the scene determined that the two injured citizens, whom neighbors and the emergency medical team of Yerevan's 103 helped, were transported to the 'Armenia' medical center.
At the crime scene, traces of blood and a kitchen knife, which preliminary information suggests is the murder weapon, were found. The patrols secured the area.
The police and investigators established that the injured are 64-year-old Lilya Gh. and 33-year-old Anna M., residents of the mentioned street. According to the website, citizens gathered at the scene, who refused to speak in front of the camera, stated that the victims are mother and daughter, and that they were stabbed by their neighbor, Tigran M., who had been transferred to the Nubarashen Mental Health Center days earlier but for unknown reasons was released by the doctors.
Neighbors also reported that he had had a disturbance with his parents a few days ago, which is why he was taken to the mental health center for treatment, but the doctors did nothing and released him.
