No Ethical Violation in Garigin Khumaryan's Article, Expert Opinion Published

The Ethics Monitoring Body has conducted an expert analysis of the article by Garigin Khumaryan, the director of Public Radio, regarding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's interview in the station's studio, based on a request from the public broadcaster. The analysis concluded that there are no violations of journalistic ethics in Khumaryan's article. Additionally, it noted that certain definitions in the statement by the Public Radio are 'not appropriate to the situation and do not contribute to the free exchange of opinions and the development of a culture of debate within society.'

Regarding Khumaryan's critical assessment of his staff member journalist's statement that 'the interview with the prime minister could undoubtedly have been much better,' the Monitoring Body expressed a preference for such comments to remain at the level of internal discussions. To address similar issues, the Monitoring Body recommends developing a communication protocol for the internal matters of the Public Broadcaster.
