It's worth noting that on March 20 at 11:56, the Crisis Management Center of the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Department received a report about a rockslide on the section of the road leading from the M-2 highway to the city of Jermuk, which has caused a closure in both directions. An operational group from the fire-rescue unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene.
It was revealed that a rockslide (approximately 300 cubic meters) occurred at the 2nd km of the road from the M-2 interstate highway to the city of Jermuk, resulting in the closure of traffic in both directions. Rescuers have cordoned off the area and established a watch.
The employees of 'Vayk Road Maintenance' are using special equipment to facilitate the removal of the rocks.
