Why is Azerbaijan Refusing to Withdraw its Troops from Armenian Territory? A Question for Kocharyan
Yesterday, opposition representatives clad in expert attire, led by the former Prime Minister, stood on a mountainside and spoke about the destruction of Armenia. This was stated by MP Andranik Kocharyan during a briefing in the National Assembly.
According to him, if they are concerned about the inviolability of our borders, they should make their personal contribution to strengthening and rendering our country's security system invulnerable.
“It’s not about spreading fears or voicing things that do not exist. What are you striving for by undermining the actions of the government?” he added.
Kocharyan noted that partial approaches can lead to the ultimate resolution of the issue.
When asked why Azerbaijan is refusing to withdraw its troops from Armenian territory if concessions are not unilateral, the MP replied: “They are refusing for now. We need to pursue solutions so that Azerbaijan does not refuse. We must have complete consensus on this matter. It is the state’s responsibility to create a secure environment with neighboring countries.”
