The head coach of the Armenian national team, Alexander Petrakov, met with journalists before the friendly match against Kosovo and answered their questions, as reported by Armsport.am.

On testing young players:
"Edgar Piloyan has received a red card while playing for the U21s, which is why he has joined our training process. The game will show whether we will test them or not."

On the Kosovo national team and tomorrow's match:
"Kosovo has a good team; all the guys play in strong European teams. Will there be surprises? I don’t think there will be surprises. I am not a young coach who can be caught off guard. I will understand from the first 10 minutes how they intend to play. I asked Chancharevich about Kosovo, its population, and players. They have a very solid and strong team. They play excellently in the air, and I like their defensive line very much. They have great players who compete in leading European leagues. It would be very desirable to achieve a positive result in tomorrow's match. This is football, and we need to solve a problem."

On the opponents in upcoming friendly matches:
"We did not have the option to choose. We were offered all the teams that had free dates. The top or grand national teams do not have a strong desire to play against us."

On players from the Armenian league:
"The national team is not for trials. Yes, at this moment, there are no players who can strengthen the national team. If you want, I can say that there are many talented and wonderful players, but I need to tell the truth. I do not wish to offend anyone, but we need players who can strengthen the team."

On potential newcomers:
"We have established contact through Pizeli with the goalkeeper of the Brazilian 'Gremio', Arthur Koneghlyan, but he declined to join the Armenian national team. We are considering everyone; however, inviting players from that continent is not very desirable, at least because after such long journeys, players come and just physically want to rest and sleep for 3-4 days."

On Tigran Barseghyan and Khoren Bayramyan:
"If possible, wait until November. My contract will end, and their return will also be very triumphant—with celebrations, fireworks, and festivities."
