Video: Roman Baghdasaryan Fled and Locked Himself in a School Bathroom, Arthur Chakhoyan

Blogger and activist Arthur Chakhoyan reports in a Facebook live stream that he accidentally encountered blogger Roman Baghdasaryan on Mashtots Avenue, who had previously published his passport details last September, claiming to be a citizen of the Russian Federation and a spy.

According to Chakhoyan, he wanted to demand some clarifications on this occasion, but Baghdasaryan, who was allegedly walking with representatives of the criminal police, entered a nearby school and locked himself in the bathroom. The press secretary of the Investigative Committee, Gor Abrahamyan, told Sputnik Armenia that Baghdasaryan had approached law enforcement in February this year, based on which a criminal case had been initiated under Article 194, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code, and Baghdasaryan was recognized as a victim. The police investigator ordered measures to ensure his safety.

The media reports: “As for how and why Baghdasaryan entered the school building, where unauthorized access is prohibited, according to the mayor's press secretary Hayk Kostanyan, neither Baghdasaryan, nor Chakhoyan, nor any other individuals had the right to enter there without permission. The school’s security was to prevent unauthorized access, but presumably, the guard either failed to do so or was not present on-site. Later, when the school principal learned about the incident, they called the police, and all mentioned individuals left the school building.”
