Vahagn Aleksanyan Puts Anahit Avanesyan in an Uncomfortable Position

Anahit Avanesyan seems not to be saved by her affiliation with the ruling party (QP) and active participation in party meetings. This is reported by the newspaper Haykakan Zhamanak.

During a Q&A session between the National Assembly and the government, QP Vice President and MP Vahagn Aleksanyan publicly put Anahit Avanesyan in an uncomfortable position by questioning the working hours of doctors in health centers under the ministry’s jurisdiction, stating that they work 32 hours. Although Avanesyan urged the MP to present specific cases for investigation, Aleksanyan did not give the minister a break afterward. On the contrary, he commented that he sent an inquiry to the 'Grigor Lusavorich' medical center and that part of the response had not been received as it was deemed a commercial secret.

Aleksanyan's behavior is likely not random. Some time ago, he had also put Avanesyan in an uncomfortable situation during a Q&A session. What the regular campaigns against Avanesyan by the QP vice president mean remains to be speculated, especially since the lawyer minister has failed in the health sector. During the Q&A session at the National Assembly, she also struggled to provide clear answers regarding legal questions.
