PHOTOS: Major accident in Kotayk, victims' condition critically severe

On March 20, at 06:58 AM, the crisis management center of the Kotayk regional rescue service received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Yerevan-Sevan highway near the Ardzvi monument, requiring the assistance of rescuers. This was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A firefighting-rescue team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a Hyundai vehicle (driver: P. S., born in 1998) had veered off the road and collided with the road's dividing barrier. The driver and passengers—A. S. (born in 1997), A. G. (born in 1995), A. A. (born in 1965), and V. N. (born in 1955)—were extricated from the vehicle by the local authorities.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's power and assisted the driver and three passengers to the ambulance. The injured were hospitalized at a medical center, where doctors evaluated their health condition as critically severe.
