Non-flammable Safe Stolen from Supermarket Manager's Office, Millions in Drams Taken
Today, on March 20, a robbery occurred at the well-known "Ani" supermarket in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan, from 03:40 to 04:00 in the morning, an unknown individual broke a window with a grate at the rear of the "Ani" supermarket on Artsakh Avenue, causing damage to gain entry into the manager's office and stole a metal non-flammable safe.
The manager reported to the police and investigators that the stolen safe contained 5 million drams.
A criminal case was initiated on the basis of "theft" by the investigative division of the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts.
According to sources, hours later, officers of the criminal investigation department of the Erebuni police discovered the broken non-flammable safe under the well-known "Vstrechi Bridge" in Getar.
To retrieve it, the police contacted the Special Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, and rescuers from the 17th rescue squad arrived to extract the safe from Getar.
