Israel is Inducing Famine in Gaza, Says Borrell

Israel is inducing famine in Gaza and using it as a weapon of war, the head of the EU's foreign policy office, Josep Borrell, stated on Monday.

“They are not just on the brink of famine in Gaza; they are in a state of massive hunger, from which thousands of people are suffering,” Borrell said during the opening of a humanitarian aid conference for Gaza in Brussels.

“This is unacceptable. Famine is being used as a weapon of war. Israel is inducing famine,” he noted.
