UAE Sends First Humanitarian Aid Shipment to Gaza
The United Arab Emirates has sent the first shipment of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip via a maritime corridor connecting the Palestinian enclave to Cyprus. This was reported by the Emirati Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the ministry, the cargo ship carrying 200 tons of food and essential goods arrived in the Gaza Strip from Larnaca port. In total, during the escalation of the Palestine-Israel conflict, the UAE has delivered 21,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the enclave's residents.
"The disastrous humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip requires a multilateral approach through international cooperation, which will immediately alleviate its impact on innocent civilians by ensuring the rapid, safe, and unhindered flow of assistance on a large and sustainable scale," the ministry emphasized.
