Iranian Criminal Group Discovered in Turkey

The owner of an illegal gambling network in Turkey, who is also the leader of an Iranian criminal group, has been arrested by Turkish law enforcement, the Turkish Ministry of Interior announced.

According to APA, citing the Mehr agency, Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed the arrest of Said Amiri.

He is accused of leading an organized criminal group, engaging in illegal gambling, and money laundering, the minister stated. Amiri was using forged identification documents and was hiding in Izmir while attempting to flee Turkey. In addition to Amiri, four other individuals have been arrested, and six others are facing criminal charges.
