Presidential Elections Begin in Russia
The presidential elections in Russia have commenced, set to last three days and concluding on the main election day, March 17. It is noted that most polling stations will operate from March 15 to 17, open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Moscow time.
The majority of polling stations have opened in the Northwestern, Central, Volga, Southern, and North Caucasian Federal Districts, which are in Moscow time.
Four candidates are vying for the presidency of Russia, including the incumbent President Vladimir Putin, who is running for the fifth time. The day before the elections, Putin addressed Russian citizens in a video message, urging them to participate in the elections and express their civic and patriotic stance by voting for their candidate and for Russia's prosperous future.
