Russia Is Prepared for Nuclear War, Says Putin
From a military-technical perspective, Russia is prepared for nuclear war, President Vladimir Putin stated in an interview with Dmitry Kiselev for "Rossiya 1" and "RIA Novosti." At the same time, the head of state noted that he does not believe that “everything is happening so quickly.”
Putin reminded that Washington has announced it does not intend to send its troops to Ukraine. According to the Russian President, the U.S. understands that a move like the entry of American troops into Russian territory would be viewed as an intervention.
Putin stated that U.S. President Joe Biden is a representative of the traditional political school. “Besides Biden, there are many other experts in the field of Russian-American relations and strategic deterrence. Therefore, I do not think that everything here is moving so hastily, but we are prepared for it,” the President clarified.
Putin also noted that Moscow is ready to use nuclear weapons if it concerns the existence of the Russian state and threats to the country's sovereignty and independence. According to him, such weapons exist and are available for use.
