Russia's Advance Halted, Their Army Losing Significant Vital Forces: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that the situation at the front is “much better than it has been over the last three months.” The Russian advance has been halted, but the situation could change if the defense forces do not receive adequate support. He made these comments in an interview with French media BFMTV.

“The situation is much better than in the last three months,” he stated, adding that he had just left a military consultation. According to the president, Ukraine has faced difficulties due to a lack of artillery ammunition, an “air blockade,” and the high density of Russian long-range weapons and drones used by the occupiers.

However, Zelensky noted that Russia's advance has indeed been halted, and their army is “losing a significant amount of vital forces.” He emphasized that this situation could change “in a month or in a week” if the Ukrainian army does not receive sufficient support.

Regarding the Russian occupation of Avdeevka, Zelensky believes that Russia has not captured the city but has completely destroyed it instead. In this context, he pointed out the advantage of the occupiers in long-range weapons, urging the West to supply these to Ukraine. He stated that Russia is “20 kilometers ahead” of Ukraine.
