Arshak Karapetyan: 'We had an agreement with Azerbaijan to withdraw, but Pashinyan dismissed me'

“During my time as Minister of Defense, I had met with the Azerbaijani side in Moscow, through intermediaries I cannot disclose, and we had reached an agreement that they were obligated to retreat from the directions they had invaded. We had agreed to hold another meeting in two weeks to resolve the issue definitively. On November 15, Mr. Pashinyan suggested that I submit my resignation. I refused, and he made the decision to dismiss me. I do not wish to disclose what I accomplished in my actually short time as Minister of Defense, but I assure you that we did significant work precisely with Russia. And over the three years, the Armenian army should have been in such a state that today we likely would not have lost Artsakh or have Azerbaijani forces in other directions. I am simply astonished by the quality of lies and the ways in which they are 'honestly' represented,” Arshak Karapetyan stated in his video message.
