Sweden's flag has been raised at NATO's headquarters in connection with the country joining the alliance. This was announced on Monday, March 11. Thus, Sweden became the 32nd member of NATO, reports TASS.

On March 7, the protocol on Sweden's accession to the North Atlantic alliance came into force.

“When President Putin started his full-scale invasion two years ago, he wanted NATO to shrink, but it didn’t happen. NATO is becoming stronger and stronger,” said Stoltenberg.
